The Triangle Park Vision Plan envisions a vibrant, inclusive, and transit-connected community at the gateway to some of Illinois’ most treasured natural assets—Lake Michigan, North Point Marina, Illinois Beach State Park, and the Lake County Forest Preserve’s Spring Bluff. Strategically located near the regional METRA station, the plan promotes smart, sustainable development with four- to five-story mixed-use buildings that offer stunning views overlooking Lake Michigan. These buildings will blend diverse housing options with active ground-floor retail and community spaces, encouraging walkability, economic vitality, and a strong sense of place. Designed to attract young professionals, active adults (55+), families, and seasonal visitors, Triangle Park is poised to become a dynamic destination where people can live, work, play, and connect with the beauty of all the natural amenities our region has to offer.
We envision transforming Triangle Park into a vibrant regional destination, offering a welcoming mix of open green space, cultural programming, and local commerce. The reimagined park will feature an outdoor stage for live performances and community events, flexible space for small business kiosks, and a designated area for mobile vendors and food trucks—creating an energetic hub for gathering, entertainment, and entrepreneurship. Designed to complement the surrounding mixed-use development and natural amenities, Triangle Park will serve as the heart of the district, drawing residents and visitors alike to enjoy the best of local culture, food, and open-air experiences.
